This guide walks you through using the DRDP Reports effectively.
Generating and Accessing DRDP Reports
Step 1: Complete Assessments
- Start by completing the assessments and required information for the children in your program.
- Monitor the progress of assessments through the Assessment Progress dashboard.
Step 2: Lock the Data
- Once the assessments are completed, lock the data to ensure its accuracy and integrity.
- After locking, allow approximately two hours for the generation of DRDP reports.
Step 3: Accessing DRDP Reports
- The DRDP Reports are generated based on completed and locked assessments.
- To access the reports, navigate to Data Hub > DRDP Report in Learning Genie.
- Use the insights to track children's progress, make informed decisions, and enhance their learning experiences.
Kinds of DRDP Reports
1. Cohort Progress Report (Click here for a sample report)
This report provides domain scale scores for a selected group of children. It also provides the ability to select a filter such as IEP vs non-IEP, age group, and program type. The report will show all domain-scaled scores for the selected group within the current year (to date).
This report offers two available views - Single domain Chart and All-domain Bar Chart.
The All-domain Bar Chart shows the developmental progress (all-domain) of different
groups of children during one or more assessment periods. Please select multiple filters for contrastive analysis.
In this report, you can also find the Cohort School Readiness Report. This report enables you to set up a benchmark for each domain and view the percentage of children who are below, at, or above this benchmark.
2. Parent Progress Report (Click here for a sample report)
This is an individual child's summary report for parent conferences that presents information gathered from the DRDP assessment regarding the child's knowledge, skills, and behaviors across various developmental areas known as "domains".
The report includes visuals and descriptions to illustrate the child's rating and provide additional information about their progress.
The report consists of 3 sections:
-
Domain View: This section displays the scale scores for each domain, accompanied by a marker indicating the child's level of development.
-
Measure View: In this section, you will find the specific ratings assigned to each measure within the framework.
-
Action Plan: This section features a form where you can describe the child's developmental progress towards achieving four overarching desired outcomes for all children.

3. School Readiness Report (Non-CDE report)
This report provides a comprehensive view of the school readiness goals you've set for each measure within different age groups and shows the percentage of children who are below, at or above these benchmarks. You can also access a detailed comparison report that tracks the progress of various age groups across rating periods, and conveniently download an Excel report for thorough analysis.

4. Child Progress Report (Click here for a sample report)
This report provides scale scores by domain for individual children. It provides a child’s progress using scale scores by domain. Ratings are grouped by domain.
The Child Report provides information about a child’s knowledge, skills, and behaviors across a range of developmental domains that are aligned with California’s early learning and development foundations. Educators may use the results to guide individual instruction and modify curriculum; they may also share them with families and other providers in order to better understand and plan support for each child's learning and development.
5. Class Planning Report (Click here for a sample report)
This report allows users to select a rating period and classroom to generate a report for all the children in the classroom. The report will include scaled scores and measure ratings for children, one rating period at a time.
NOTE: The percentages in the domain scale bar reflect the children who have sufficient measures with a developmental level selected. The number of children rated for each measure may not equal the percentage of children in the domain scale bar.
6. Group Progress Report (Click here for a sample report)
This report provides scale scores by domain for a group of children and has the number of children at each level in the domain. This report can be pulled for a class, for an agency, or for a specific group of children, such as four-year-olds who had ELD measures completed.
NOTE: You may select multiple rating periods, sites, and classes, within a single framework, for this report. To pull this report for a specific group of children, please use the Additional Filters.
7. Group Detail Report (Click here for a sample report)
This report will show all domain-scaled scores for the selected group within the current year (to date). The group may be all children or filtered using certain criteria.
This report offers two available views - Table View and Chart View
Tips and Best Practices
- Avoid “Unable to Rate” ratings: Each DRDP View requires a minimum number of measures to be rated with actual developmental level (not UR) to obtain a domain score. Too many “UR” ratings within a domain will result in no domain scores.
- Reports will only be available after locking the children’s assessment ratings upon completion. (Step by step: locking and unlocking)
- DRDP Report Guidance (www.desiredresults.us)
- Make sure children's demographic information is filled in correctly for generating accurate aggregated reports based on attribute filters. (Step by step: Adding children's demographic information/additional attributes)
