How do I individualize a group observation note?

Learning Genie allows you to efficiently document observations for multiple children simultaneously. You can create group observation notes using both the Learning Genie Educator App and the Learning Genie Web Portal.

On the Web Portal

1. Locate the Group Observation Note
   Navigate to the Portfolio tab and find the group observation note under the child you wish to individualize.
   
   

2. Edit the Observation Note
   Click the pencil icon in the top-right corner of the note to enter edit mode.
   
   
   
   
3. Adjust the Child Selection
   At the top of the page, click the plus sign (+) button. Deselect all other children, leaving only the child you are individualizing, then click Select.
   
   

4. Add Individualized Details
   Update the observation note with any additional details or relevant measures specific to the child.
   
   

5. Save the Changes
   Click Save to publish the individualized observation note.

On the Educator App

1. Open the Educator App
   Launch the Learning Genie Educator App on your device.
   
   
2. Access the Group Observation Note
   Go to the Portfolio tab and locate the group observation note under the child you wish to individualize.

3. Edit the Observation Note
   Tap the edit button in the note, then select Update.
   
   
4. Adjust the Child Selection
   At the bottom of the page, tap the plus icon (+). Deselect all other children, leaving only the child you are individualizing.

5. Add Individualized Details
   Update the observation note with any additional details or relevant measures specific to the child.

6. Save the Changes
   Tap the checkmark in the top-right corner to save and publish the individualized observation note.
